Genesis Land Development Corp was founded in 1991 as a land developer with one million dollars in assets. Today, Genesis has grown into a Corporation managing about half a billion dollars in assets and has evolved into building single-family homes, multi-family homes and developing its vast commercial and recreational land holdings.

The strength of the Corporation has been to carefully and patiently convert its land base to residential, light industrial, office, recreational zoned property. The re-zoning of land can be a long and tedious affair and can involve numerous levels of Government – Provincial, City and Municipal. Genesis is proud of its record of re-zoning land to serviceable land parcels as this lengthy process adds tremendous value to the land.

In the near term, the goal is to reduce short-term debt, increase revenue, maximize profits, increase land holdings through careful acquisition and add value to our land base by re-zoning for future development. Longer term, the goal is to seek opportunities to develop more consistent revenue generating assets such as rental units and commercial leases and explore more limited partnership arrangements.

The consistent growth of the corporation has been through the direction of a strong management team, shrewd and prudent acquisitions, careful management of its’ assets and generating to the shareholders the best return on their investment.

Management is committed to managing the growth of Genesis by good corporate governance, participation in the communities we build in through our involvement in Genesis Place in Airdrie and Genesis Centre of Community Wellness in north-east Calgary and increased awareness of environmental issues.
